The Pulaski County Public Library is hosting an Opening Celebration for its Golden Experiences Art Exhibit on Friday, November 1st at 4:00 p.m.
Golden Experiences was an eight-week art program held at the library this fall. Throughout this program, older adults in the community were invited to engage in basic drawing and painting techniques informed by observational invitations and creative practices.
Participants created several pieces of art during the programs. Select pieces from these local artists will be on display at this exhibit.
The program was facilitated by Lifelong Arts Indiana professional Jennifer Weinert. Weinert says, “It was a joy to meet and be with this friendly and curious group as they explored observational drawing and expressive painting techniques. Always look for learning opportunities and resource your youthful spirit to fuel your Sage self!”
The public is invited to attend the exhibit’s Opening Celebration to see artwork that was created during this program and meet some of the artists.
The exhibit will be on display at the library through November 12th.
This program was made possible in part by the Indiana Arts Commission, which receives support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration's Division of Aging. It was also made possible by the Pulaski County Public Library and the Psi Iota Xi Chapter of Winamac.
