Panhandle Pathway at Hoosier Explorers

Learn about the Panhandle Pathway’s past, present, and future at Hoosier Explorers, a local group for seniors, at the Pulaski County Public Library on Tuesday, May 14th at 1:00 p.m.

The Panhandle Pathway is a 22-mile rail-trail corridor running through Pulaski and Cass Counties. At the Hoosier Explorers program, Friends of the Panhandle Pathway President John Bawcum will provide a history of the multi-use trail and talk about current construction plans between State Road 14 and 17th Street in Winamac. Kaye Beall, volunteer, will join John to highlight points of interest along the trail and discuss how people from our community and region use the trail.

Attendees will learn about the recent prairie restoration project, the upcoming “Moonlight Over the Tippy” bike ride, and how to connect or volunteer with the Friends group.

Hoosier Explorers is a casual social gathering for seniors and retirees. The group meets at the Pulaski County Public Library at 1:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings include presentations, refreshments, and opportunities for socializing. All local seniors and retirees are welcome.
