New Service: Doorstep Delivery

We're excited to announce our newest service: Doorstep Delivery.

With Doorstep Delivery, an outreach librarian brings library materials like books, magazines, audiobooks, and DVDs straight to eligible individuals’ homes.

Doorstep Delivery visits occur every six weeks.  Before each visit, the outreach librarian will contact the individual to discuss what types of materials they want and ask about any specific requests.  When making a delivery, the librarian will bring new items and pick up the materials from the previous visit.

Doorstep Delivery is available to people who live in the Pulaski County Public Library district who cannot visit the library independently due to a permanent or temporary disability or mobility impairment.

This service is provided at no charge to residents of the Pulaski County Public Library district.

To sign-up for Doorstep Delivery, apply online at www.pulaskicounty.lib.in.us/doorstep, or call the Pulaski County Public Library at 574-946-3432.  Paper applications are also available at the library at 121 S Riverside Dr, Winamac.

Once an individual’s application is approved, they will receive a welcome packet along with their library materials on their first delivery.

For interested individuals who live in a nursing home or assisted living facility, the library will work with staff from the organization to identify a responsible party for each location who will distribute and prepare the residents' materials every six weeks.

Being homebound doesn't mean you have to stop using the library.  If you, a friend, or a family member is unable to visit the library in-person, we encourage you to take advantage of Doorstep Delivery.

To learn more and apply, go to www.pulaskicounty.lib.in.us/doorstep or call the library at 574-946-3432.
