Program Description
Event Details
At Save the Seed, elementary-age kids will learn all about the life cycle of seed plants.
They'll even get to plant pumpkin seeds and take them home to watch them grow!
We'll read the book The Saved Seed, which follows the journey of a smiling pumpkin seed from Halloween pumpkin through the year, becoming a seedling, a vine, and finally a new pumpkin.
Along the way, children will learn how to care for their own pumpkin seeds and become successful pumpkin gardeners.
Save the Seed is presented by the Iris Elm Garden Club.
